KAREN FILIPPE, AIA

A native Angeleno and Associate at KFA, Karen Filippe approaches design challenges with a sensitivity to site context and history true to her background in art history. After completing her graduate degree at SCI-arc, she began her career with Gehry Technologies, developing expertise in BIM modeling on large scale international work. Her seven years at KFA have fostered her love for her hometown, as she has managed new construction and adaptive reuse projects throughout the city. With a focus on many types of housing, from hospitality to affordable housing, Karen has seen the influence of each project on the fabric of the city and she looks forward to the positive impact the firm continues to make on housing in Los Angeles.
