Bank of Italy Building - NoMad LA Hotel

Downtown Los Angeles

Client Cost Stats Date
Sydell Group 165,189 SF / 250 Rooms mid-2016

The Bank of Italy building in Downtown Los Angeles, a 12-story structure which stood empty for more than a decade before Sydell Group acquired it, will soon become NoMad, a 250 room luxury hotel. The once-magnificent office building at Olive and 7th streets is on the verge of a new life, resurrected by an expanding downtown Los Angeles renaissance that is bringing thousands of new residents and billions of dollars of new development and renovation.  The old banking floor will be turned into a large lobby, retail space, a bar, restaurant, library, and study. An event space and swimming pool will be constructed on the roof.
