Last week, PATH Ventures celebrated the grand opening of PATH West Carson Villas, providing 111 units of quality permanent housing for low-income families and individuals. Designed by KFA Architecture, the four-story building reflects the surrounding neighborhood’s California Ranch-style homes, with a contemporary, welcoming design that prioritizes community and sustainability.
We’re proud to share that PATH West Carson Villas also received a Citation Award at the 2024 Southern California Development Forum Philanthropy and Design Awards! Congratulations to PATH Ventures, the entire project team, and all who contributed to this meaningful development.

The Laurel Apartments Are Now Home to 57 New Residents
We are excited to announce the completion of The Laurel Apartments in Santa Monica! This affordable housing development, led by @eahhousing and designed by KFA Architecture, provides permanent supportive housing to individuals who were unhoused or at risk of becoming unhoused.
The project includes 57 studio apartments, supportive services provided by @thepeopleconcern, and community spaces like the restored historic Santa Monica Nikkei Hall.
Congratulations to EAH Housing, the City of Santa Monica, and the entire project team for bringing this important development to life.

We’re thrilled to welcome Amin Marandi to the KFA Architecture family! Amin brings a passion for design that’s deeply rooted in his upbringing around construction and art, enriched by global experiences. He studied architecture in Rome, honed his skills at SCI-Arc in Los Angeles, and has worked on everything from residential and hospitality projects to museums and interiors.
Amin’s thoughtful approach to design and keen eye for detail make him a perfect fit for KFA. Outside of work, you can find him hiking, capturing street photography, or cheering on Manchester United and the Dodgers. We’re excited to see the incredible work Amin will bring to our team!

This morning, KFA Architecture was honored to host the AIA|LA City Leaders Breakfast Reception featuring Elizabeth (Libby) Boyce, L.C.S.W., of the Los Angeles County Homeless Initiative, and Leepi Shimkhada, Deputy Director of Housing for Health at the Department of Health Services (DHS), County of Los Angeles.
The discussion centered on Housing for Health: A Collaborative Approach to Addressing Homelessness in Los Angeles—a critical dialogue on innovative strategies to tackle one of our city’s most pressing challenges.
