Since I had the good fortune to answer a classified ad in the LA Times in 2001, I’ve had the daily joy of being a member of a group of outstanding colleagues and clients, who have a passion for, a vision of, and the commitment to reshaping our city and enriching the lives of its residents.

LISE BORNSTEIN, AIA

PARTNER

Riding the metro to school in the nation’s capital and flipping through antique maps with her grandfather gave Lise an enthusiasm for cities and urban design that has been a motivational force throughout her career. After attending NCSU, Lise moved to LA in 1997 via Baltimore and a brief stop in Berlin, landing at SCI-Arc where she received her M. Arch. Since joining KFA in 2001, she has participated in the densification of this large and complex city, and is in charge of project concept and design; she incorporates a love of art and community while developing client goals and vision. Lise has been on the Association for Women in Architecture Foundation board for over a decade, and is currently the Immediate Past President. She also volunteers with a local animal shelter and a community reading program for kids. Coffee and a good story are always welcome.
