Architecture is organization. You are an organizer, not a drawing-board stylist

OWEN MERRICK, AIA

After earning his undergraduate degree in Economics, Owen discovered his passion for architecture through hands-on experience in the building trades, including a position as a cabinetmaker at the Guggenheim Museum in New York. Collaborating with exhibit designers and architects there inspired him to pursue a Master of Architecture from SCI-Arc and a career focused on complex, high-design public buildings. Over the past decade, he has served as project architect and construction administration lead for embassies, museums, and cultural facilities, managing projects with a combined construction value exceeding $2 billion. Owen brings to KFA a precise eye for construction detailing and a dedication to creating spaces that unite design excellence with functionality. Originally from New York and raised in Southern California, he values both the artistry and practicality of the built environment. Outside the office, Owen enjoys spending time with his blended family of four children.
