Scott Kepford Circle Headshot

The unique value of Los Angeles – what excites, intrigues and sometimes repels me – is that it offers radical alternatives to almost every urban concept in unquestioned currency.

SCOTT KEPFORD, AIA

A born & raised Californian and the son of a flight attendant & contractor, Scott was exposed to both a wide range of cultures and the inner workings of the built environment from an early age. Upon learning about Scott’s desire to pursue architecture as a career, his father’s friend, a licensed architect, advised him not pursue architecture, and well, he didn’t listen. Having lived the three largest cities in the US, Scott has become a connoisseur of urbanism. He has a particular passion for the intersections of art and architecture in the crafting of beautiful form and spatial effects. He has worked with notable architects and artists in a wide range of scales and project types, with a corresponding love of representation and of achieving spectacular results from an agglomeration of seemingly simple details. While not at KFA, Scott can be found traveling, drinking coffee, reading sci-fi, and near bodies of water large or small.
