Vladlen "Len" Zolnikov

Vladlen was born and raised in Vladivostok, Russian Far East, before immigrating to the U.S. at the age of 18 to begin his professional career. In June 2022, he graduated from California Polytechnic State University, San Luis Obispo, with a Summa Cum Laude in Bachelor of Architecture. During his time at Cal Poly, Vladlen was not only able to gain strong technical knowledge of architecture and experience through multiple internships and competitions but also went through a personal coming-of-age transition as an immigrant. Vladlen’s passion for architecture and the art of building started around his toddler years, as he played with VHS tapes building towers and testing their structural resilience. Vladlen decided to join the KFA team due to his deep rooted interest in multifamily housing, community building, social equity, and the general art of living.
