1010 Wilshire
Los Angeles, CA Downtown
- Client : Amir, LLC
- Cost : $50M
- Size : 320,000 SF / 227 units
- Completion Date : 2006
BEYOND THE STATS
- The transformation of 1010 Wilshire offers streamlined design in a high rise environment. Residents have maximum flexibility to make the spaces their own; rather than dividing the units with walls, areas are defined and linked by built-in furniture elements that act as low-height walls, preserving the open plan.
- The design of the kitchen and bathing elements integrate with the main living space in the loft. In some units bathing elements exist in traditional spaces; in others vanities and bathing tubs are placed in the main loft space.
- On the building’s roof deck, residents can gaze out over the city near a dramatic fire/water feature, work quietly among the trees and flowers while enjoying a westward view to the ocean, or host a cocktail party in the bar area under the glow of backlit colored panels.

Engine Co. 28
Built in 1912, it was the most expensive fire station of its time. Nor, a City of Los Angeles recognized historic cultural landmark, it is home to a popular restaurant.
