BEYOND THE STATS
- Operated by the Santa Monica Boys and Girls Club, JAMS Clubhouse is an addition to an existing classroom building at John Adams Middle School. The plan features three large rooms that surround an outdoor patio: the Social Recreation Room, the Education Center and the Technology/Media Center.
- The design is a colorful and playful counterpart to the existing buildings, with sloped roofs, colorful exterior plaster facades, metal panels and canted columns.
- Storm water from the building and immediate surroundings is collected and percolates into the soil below the pervious concrete parking lot.
