BEYOND THE STATS
- NoHo Senior Villas is located in the North Hollywood arts district, a vibrant, mixed-use, transit-oriented urban center in the San Fernando Valley.
- The project’s vision was to design a protected, yet open building where at-risk seniors could build stable lives in a community-oriented setting.
- The C-shaped residential floor plans surround a large courtyard separated from the street by a one-story community room, allowing sunlight and air to penetrate the building. Stepped massing engages the street and respects the mix of building typologies on the block, and every floor is coded in varying colors and lively metal graphics to assist in way-finding.
