BEYOND THE STATS
- Established in 1997, Westerly School is a small private school for grades K through 8 in an industrial area of Long Beach. KFA’s new master plan builds upon the existing double quadrangle plan.
- The Arts Building, adjacent to an existing amphitheater, is comprised of two wings for performance and visual arts. The building’s form defines a garden that can be used for exhibition and performance, serving as an extension of the interior teaching spaces. Simple and economical materials respond to the modest budget.
Long Beach Flea Market
Part of being a real Angeleno is committing to memory which of the big flea markets falls on which Sunday. The Long Beach Flea Market is super friendly, has great deals, and is big, but not too big. It is on the third Sunday of every month.
