The Southern California Association for Non-Profit Housing celebrated its 30th Annual Conference in late September and KFA was proud to be an attendee for the 30th year. Always one of the most high-spirited and camaraderie-filled events in the housing industry calendar, the conference honors the movers and shakers in the affordable housing world, offers two days of seminars and panels, and provides a venue for establishing and maintaining relationships for service providers from all sectors of the industry. John Arnold, Partner at KFA, presented a segment on Housing Design and Entitlements at an all-afternoon seminar with 4 colleagues focused on the development process. KFA also had its display booth up in the concourse: in lieu of swag, the marketing team constructed a “Bean Bag Toss for Charity” game where KFA donated one dollar to charity for every bean bag dunk by passing attendees. In the end, over 1,000 bags were tossed, and KFA donated over $1,000 to five local LA non-profits that provide services to the homeless and other disadvantage groups.
