Nearly two years after breaking ground in Silver Lake, the five-story frame of the Vica condominiums is topped out.

Located at 3400 Sunset Boulevard, the $21-million development from Barth Partners and Barry Leddy Developments will feature 31 residential units, which are billed as the first new condominiums built in Silver Lake in over a decade.  Plans also call for ground-floor restaurant space.

The podium-type building, designed by KFA Architecture, will provide open space in the form of a rooftop amenity deck and a central courtyard with a swimming pool.  Outdoor dining is also planned adjacent to the Micheltorena Stairs, which abut the project site.

Barth Partners has also built townhouse developments in Silver Lake and Highland Park, and is planning a brutalist apartment complex in West Hollywood.
