Elizabeth Kang Headshot

Architecture is so much more than the psychical realm of the building structure, through architectural design, we create “places” where it impacts society and also improve people’s lives. Also the fact that there are multiple solutions to do this really excites me.

ELIZABETH KANG

ASSOCIATE

Elizabeth loves working collaboratively with her studio mates and thinks that problem solving is fun. She is working on Soho House, an adaptive reuse hospitality project in LA’s Arts District; she believes that giving a new identity to an existing building is a noble goal in a dense city. She has worked on other hospitality, retail, educational, civic, and housing projects, and is eager for a diversity of experience. Originally from Texas, she lived in South Korea for a while and moved to Los Angeles in 2014 after graduating from Cornell, drawn in part by the complexity of Los Angeles’ architecture. Elizabeth likes to explore California locations while taking weekend trips with family and friends. She also enjoys photography, crafting, discovering new hole in the wall restaurants, and, especially, going to markets in foreign cities.
