Yating Guo Circle

I don’t believe architecture has to speak too much. It should remain silent and let nature in the guise of sunlight and wind. – Tadao ando

YATING GUO

Born and raised in Beijing, Yating moved to Los Angeles for graduate school. She received her Master of Science degree in Biochemistry and Molecular Biology, and due to her intense passion for architecture she made the decision to change careers after a few years in lab science. She likes exploring different styles and techniques to tell a compelling story with her design and to convey a rich spatial experience with light as an essential component of that experience. Every move she makes has rationale, with function as the most important aspect. Shadows, trees, and water are her favorite elements.

She has worked on mixed-use, residential and commercial developments, and TOD master plans in Santa Ana, West Covina, North Hollywood and Delhi, India. She is happy joining KFA, a firm that is reshaping Los Angeles with happy employees that do meaningful work.

On the weekends you can find her hiking and snowboarding in the mountains or spending time at the beach. She also enjoys boxing on a regular basis, exploring art museums, and watching live music.
