BEYOND THE STATS
- In 1907, William G. Kerckhoff, one of the most important industrialists and financiers in California, commissioned the prominent Los Angeles architecture firm of Morgan and Walls to design the William G. Kerckhoff Building, a Beaux Arts-style commercial building located at the northeast corner of Main and Sixth Streets. In 1916, an annex was added and in 1933, the Santa Fe Railroad purchased the building and became the major tenant for over 50 years.
- The adaptive reuse project includes spacious and light-filled loft apartments and ground floor retail, and the project meets criteria for registry on the National Register of Historic Places.

Pussy and Pooch
Pussy and Pooch was one of the first upstart shops (circa 2007) to open in downtown catering to the incoming residents of the many pet-friendly loft conversions. They’ve curated a great collection of natural and grain-free pet foods, as well as toys and accessories that you just can’t get at Petco.
