Earth movers are now hard at work at 1625 Lincoln Boulevard in Santa Monica, the site of another mixed-use development from Century West Partners.
The project, which began construction in March, will consist of two five-story buildings featuring 191 apartments and 11,402 square feet of ground-floor retail space. Plans also call for two levels of below-ground parking. Plans also call for amenities such as a gym, a yoga area, a pool, a roof deck, and a game room.
KFA Architecture is designing the project, which will be bisected by Lincoln Court, a landscaped alley cutting between Olympic Boulevard and Colorado Avenue. The project was designed to accommodate the alley by splitting it into two buildings, linked by pedestrian bridges.
Completion is anticipated in late 2021, according to the project’s general contractor Milender White.
1625 Lincoln is the second phase of The Catherine, Century West’s 89-unit development now under construction at the southeast corner of Lincoln and Colorado Avenue. That project is being designed by Michael W. Folonis Architects.
Similar residential-retail are also under construction at 1641 and 1550 Lincoln Boulevard.
All four projects sit within walking distance of the Expo Line’s Downtown Santa Monica terminus.
